Micrometer-top seating dies ???

I have used all three.
The Redding and Forster are tops, the RCBS is so-so.

The only one of the 3 that I've tried is the Redding, for both .223 & 6mm Rem. I'm very pleased with the results.

I've used the RCBS and the Redding dies.
But for my money the Wilson dies with the micrometer are the best.

If you ever go to a forster co-ax press most of the other brands will probably be too tall for the yoke to fit over.

I have a Redding comp. seating die although I have yet to actually use. Still sitting on the dining room table. Hmm come to thing of it the wife hasn't commented about that yet, but I digress.
The die seems to be pretty decent. I don't care for the lockring as it isn't the Hornady clamp-style but the brass allen screw that screws a lead ball into the threads.
The overall fit and finish is good. The threads are all clean, and adjusting the seating depth is smooth through the ranges. The mouth is nicely radiused. It includes a couple of allen wrenches. One for the lockring and the other for adjusting (zeroing) the seating depth without changing the micrometer position.
Got mine new on Ebay from one of their "merchants." Wasn't too impressed with this person though as it took them about a month to ship the item.

I've used all 3. The Forster is my vote for this type of seating die. However, as it is, I have the el cheapo RCBS standard die set in 223, and once I have the seating depth dialed in for this round with the load my rifle likes, I just set it and forget it. The rifle has shot well so far, and I have seen no need for the adjustable die for use on coyotes or prairie dogs. Rifle just shoots this one load, and shoots it well.
I used to have an adjustable seating die for Highpower competition to go between the 80 grain and the 68 grain bullets. Made a note of the setting and could duplicate it easily this way.
