Yup...I carry a short length of 550 cord so that when I flip them over I cross the ends. Another added benefit is that the mess part acts as kind of a 3D blind. Works great..especially in the snow...only drawback is if they come from a direction you aren't pointing and then you gotta do some fancy footwork to get your gun on them. I try and wiggle the snow shoes when I plant them in the snow so it at least gives them some leeway for movement.
Yeah...winter up here has been pretty much non-existant. If it did snow then it was usually gone the next day because it would immediately rain. Don't understand it. It's 17 FEB and the ground is green. We are usually still eyeballs deep in snow around here.
