Mini-dvr location

I recently started using a mini dvr with my Pulsar Apex, but I'm having a hard time finding the best place/way to mount it to my rifle so that it stays out of the way without making it hard to access. So for those of you that use them, where do you find is the best way to mount them? Thanks
 
If you were using the EPS3 battery pack you could Velcro it to that, but since you are using the EPS5 that won't work. As stated you can zip tie it to an AR forearm or Velcro it to a bolt-action forearm.
 

I use the DVR pouch attached to the lower half of a scope ring, then attach it to the left side picatinny on my Apex XQ38. It's a simple plug in mounted there. When I use the external battery, i simply put it in my pocket. The cord doesn't bother me at all. When I get to a stand I plug it in and then unplug it when I end. Two CR batteries in the scope keep me ready for shooting if the auxillary battery is unplugged. Works for me anyway.
 
Thanks for the ideas. I have even thought about getting a small pouch to go on either my stock or hand guard to hold the mini dvr and eps 5 battery.
