minox za5 hd 2-10x50

Ordered za5 hd 2-10x50 from camera land today(forgot to mention the PM deal) despite very few (ie none) reviews on web. It's going on working farm/ranch truck/tractor/mule rifle. I'll try to update so the next guy/gal has a clue.

My son and I have several Minox 1.5x8's on our rifles. We love them!

They replaced a bunch of Leupold Vari X and VX scopes. We don't miss the Leupolds.

Scope showed up, very clear especially for hazy day. One weird thing is the far lens retaining ring is not black but metal, the stamped lettering is white. When I have a bad spell and magic marker the ring black I'll probably void the warranty?
 
Quick comparison to Burris Fullfield ii 4.5-14 x 50. On lowest settings Minox brighter with yard lighting. Note of interest Minox at approximately 7 power is same magnification as Burris set at 4.5. With both set at 10 power,they show the same magnification. Minox at 2 power seems correct.Minox is shorter and much lighter. Both have plex, next Minox will have #4 German for low light. Once mounted will take both to the dark woods.
