Mojo Critter decoy...yah or nay?

Tried doing a search for any posts on the Mojo Critter, but didn't have much luck.

Thinking of trying a Mojo Critter decoy, but thought I'd check with others that might use one. Money's tight right now, but thinking of saving up for one if they're worth it.
Any advice on these?
Hope the link works....

Thanks a bunch

Have you seen the "bucking the odds" guys videos?

It most of their later vids on youtube they use that exact decoy. Multiple times they have coyotes come up and bite it. so I would say it can't be that bad.

The mojo critter works very good. Their customer service is great as well.

Get ready for some fast action, predators come into the critter decoy sometimes quicker than you'd like. Last fall I called in two singles and a double in one morning with the help of the critter. That was good action for these parts. Ryan

Good to hear...and that fast action is kinda' worrying me a little. I'd really hate to lose my decoy to a big ol owl or see it run off in a dogs mouth.

Here is a helpful hint; make sure the grass doesn't get tangled up in it! You can solve that by getting a piece of all thread 1/4" x 2' and use that for your base. The one that comes with it is a little on the short side, and it WILL get tangled in grass, or not be tall enough to see.

Last winter I bought one of the "Come Alive Decoy" from APC. It is very handy with the add on sticks to make it taller, but it is heavy with 4 "C" batteries.

About a month ago I picked up one of the Mojo Predator Decoys. These are very similar decoys, but the Mojo running on 4 "AA"'s is a lot lighter. So far I have not needed any extra height with the Mojo. Going by the instructions, it said to use a piece of 1/2" EMT for getting it higher.

Both of these units, you have to clear the grass, weeds from its swing area as they will get tangled up very easily. I will be using both of these more this winter, they are both great decoys. I think the delay is longer with the Come Alive Decoy.

Mojo Critter is the best motion decoy on the market...hands down. I've had a few coyotes flare from it, but it works more times than not.

I still have great luck using a McDonalds napkin when there is a breeze.

I bought one a couple of months ago and love it. I have quit carrying my FoxPro Jack in the Box.

The last yote that saw it came in at a full run. I also think that it will be great for bobcats when our season opens.

On a strange note, it seems to be an ideal decoy for chimney swifts. The size of the fur pieces and the periodicity of the rotation mimics well the wingbeats of the chimney swift. I have had a "cloud" of 15 hovering around it at one time, and have seen them fly across a pasture to gaze at it. The way I see it, a cloud of hovering little birds can't be a bad thing in and of itself.

And all the better if it's got the lingering smell of a sausage with egg Mcmuffin on it.

I have found that some coyotes in some areas do prefer BugerKing Whopper saturated napkins over McDonalds 3 to 1.

Be interesting to see TA's thoughts on this.

Forgot to that we had to buy another one because we blew one up with the shot gun trying to keep a coyote from eating it hahaha

I hunted over one this past weekend. We sat down on the stand, the Mojo decoy was set up and turned on, and before the guy setting the Mojo up could go and sit back down and start calling, a coyote came into the stand just from the sound or motion from the decoy.

Once the dog came in, he saw the guy still walking back to his stool, and took off.

Yes, I think they work real fine.

Thanks for all the replies...Plan on ordering one the next couple of days. Maybe the eastern dogs will like it as much as the ones out west :)
