Moly coating

Whats the real truth about moly and how hard is it to clean from a barrel? I have a line on some bullets but they are moly coated and I have never used moly before. I hear good and bad things about it but my fear is it won't come out of the barrel with normal cleanining.

i have used it for 20 years in my 17.rem.it helps me go longer between cleaning.the gun still shoots .25 or smaller when it do my part.it cleans easy,i use one shot then follow with kroil let it soak then patch it out and do one more light coat and a patch for any excess. if you don't like it will come out fine just use kroil with your regular cleaner like butches etc.you could even tumble the bullets and get it off

I've tumbled some that I got by mistake just for the reason that I didn't want to go back and forth with molly and non molly bullets in the same rifle. I had to run them for about 6 hours to get them clean in just corncob but it worked and they were just fine.

Your accuracy/groups are gonna suffer. What works for me is starting on a CLEAN barrel before laying moly down.If I decide to switch back to nekkid bullets I start with a CLEAN barrel.
