Mosberg 935 Users?

I'm currently shooting a Mossberg 835 but was considering switching to a semi. Can any of you gentlemen shooting a 935 tell me if the receivers are drilled/tapped for a scope rail like the 835's are?

I just made the same switch Beagler. As bushman said, it is drilled and tapped and I'm shopping for a good red dot or halo for it now.

My 935 was drilled and tapped for a base from the factory. I chose to go with the Mossberg base. It is longer than the weaver base and offers more ring spacing options as well as more adjustment for single ring or mount red dots/holo sights. Not that it really makes a difference, but the Mossy bases are available in camo to match your gun.

I also considered the EGW base, which is a bit longer yet. It actually extends past the front of the receiver, over the barrel.

Hope this helps you.

I have had no problems with mine. It has always ejected the shells it was designed to shoot. It will also eject light loads, down to 7/8oz, when I switch out the factory recoil spring for a shorter (cut) recoil spring. No broken parts either.

I do have a friend who somehow managed to install his gas piston backwards and touched off a 3.5" steel shell. With no way to vent ecess gas and pressure it threw the slide back hard enough to crack it. Not the gun or designers fault. I feel any gun out there would have the same or similar problems in that situation.
