Mosquito, black fly, bug bite remedies

Make your own. Proper mix is 99.5% water and 0.5% permethrin. Works like a champ.

ETA: Just watched the video above, great video. When local Academy quit carrying Sawyer, started mixing my own.
I followed instructions on the Sawyer bottle for application and only treated outer clothing (shirt/pants); spray till clothing feels moist, let dry overnight before wearing. This application lasted at least 3 or four (2 day) weekly trips/washing between treating and lessened the amount of personal contact w/permethrin IMO. NEVER had a tick after discovering permethrin. Great stuff!
Oh yeah, I haven't turned purple or grown any extra apendages after a dozen or more years of use.......at least not yet!

I use the Sawyers spray and also NEVER had a tick on me during the spring gobbler or the fall archery season, in contrast I've had 6 on me so far this year while doing yard work.
I've been contemplating getting the concentrate and diluting it, and then treating my outside work clothing with it, hate those ticks especially when I find one buried in my skin!

👍 sounds good! I noticed a lot of the permethrin products up here sold at Walmart, Lowes etc. is 0.25% permethrin, only 1 was 0.5%. Gonna check the farmers supply later this week for something stronger to dilute and pay attention to the ingredient lists.
