Mosquito creek coyote hunt

the problem is, if you offer a different prize incentive then you ask for more problems.... keep it all the same ... remember we are asking for an even playing field.... nothing more... BUT nothing less....

And when people failed their polygraph test they would complain about who the club used for the tests, and that they were somehow connected to the houndsmen or such. I can hear it now, "I don't even own a dog!"... Polygraph tests are not 100% accurate.

sure as heck beats the... yep, thats how it happened mentalityif the tests show that all was fair ... so be it... but this is not like we rent the machine and do it ourselves... these are pros who use this for a living, they even administer testing for murder cases and such.... so it would be better than just taking the word of the winner, not saying everyone is a liar, just that if you were registered and your buddy who was not, shot a 50lb yote for 8,000. just about everyone would turn it in... and that is cheating.

I've heard it myself. Someone will say in a conversation,"I'm not signed up, but it wouldn't take long to find someone that is". Here is an angle for you. If they aren't going to police the hunters a little more, then stop cutting up the coyotes looking for evidence of pen rearing. They police the poor old coyote to see if it was raised on Ol'Roy, but let the hunters go on their merry way. Split the hunt into 2 divisions, hire the polygraph, and call it good. I don't cheat and only lie about fishing /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif. I'm good with that solution.

I also think that the "threat" of knowing you would be subject to a polygraph test at the conclusion of the contest would disuade some tempters to NOT cheat. But as was said already, the poly test is not 100% accurate and then that creates a problem with contesting the results for an $8000 paycheck. There would have to be a signed form that you agree to all results as final.

songddog, that was covered with me by the testing agency as well, but they are a good bunch to go with as i stated before, they do criminal investigations from sex offenders, clear up to murder... and the gentleman who I talked with has done polygraphs for other types of competitions....but they do want it stated in writing that the test results are final. I am going to check prices with other agencies as well... but wanted a starting point... I am working on a petition cover page to get that rolling as well.... this way they will realize that its not just one or two guys who want to see them change with the times.

you can do both... email them as well as sign the petition... all I ask is if you email them... please try to be respectful... many of the guys i have talked to are upset... but screaming and swearing at them will get nothing at all done.... so ask them the way you would prefer to have someone ask you.... not that you guys would, but some do... lol

Ryan, Thanks, I would like to have them finished today or tomorrow, there will be two pages... the cover sheet and the list paper you will just need to print out a couple of the list papers and staple them together.....

yotehunter74,i quit joining the club two years ago because i thought it was unfair to the callers.I'm not one bit against hound hunters. I was a hound hunter once and i understand the enjoyment of running hounds. There is no question in my mind, that hound hunters have a BIG advantage over the callers. If you put the petition up,i will gladly sign it.If they split the hunters in those two groups, myself and a few other guys i know, will gladly re-join the club.

Yote tote... thank you for your support, I would like to find a way to put a petition online as well, but i am not that computer literate.... if anyone can point me in that direction I will try it.

Here is the 2 responses that I got from the club from earlier emails.

Response #1
Dear Ryan, Thank you for your interest in our club. ou ae absolutely right about
the calling/hounds. Thihs has been so popular that I look for our hunt to be
divided next year. Also for the polygraph - I look for that to happen too. You
had some great ideas. We will try to act on them. Thank you, Cathy
Thank you for your interest in our club. Cathy

Response #2
Dear Ryan, The website is back up and running. I am thankful for your patience
and gentle question. Not all responses been so nice. We had to build a new
site and double our broadband to handle all the traffic. Who would ever think
we would be so popular.
Thank you for your interest in our club. Cathy

Here is the response that i got. it sounds promising
"Hi Derek, Your concerns are very interesting and ones that are being told to us
quite a bit. We have already started to change some of the things about the
hunt - some of the things you mention. I hope we can keep in touch and help to
make a better hunter. Thank you, Cathy
Thank you for your interest in our club. Cathy"
