Most accurate factory .22lr?

If you do not like a bolt rifle. I have a Browning BL-22 with a Leupold 2x7 rimfire scope. I bought it used for around $350 and the scope was $200+. I shoot dime size groups at 50yds. Winchester makes the 94-22, They are okay. The Browning is smaller and a easy carry in the woods.
I can shoot shorts, longs or long rifle shells. Short hollow point are great on small game.

I have to disagree with some of the comments on the 10-22.Granted it's not a long range shooter but it's light weight makes it great for all day small game hunting. The accuracy within the range such critters are usually shot has been just fine for me.It keeps up with my BV out to around 40yds.I could never understand why so many folks invest so much money in them trying to make it something they saw from the start it would never be.

Well I can tell you that it won't be a 10/22. I bought a savage and it shot ok, I sold it and got a cz 455 and it shoots better. My sons 452 cz shoots really good with most all ammo

For my $ CZ is a great buy.. I picked up both a .22 mag and 22lr for about 350 apiece with scopes.. I have had a bunch of .22's over the years, but these are truly impressive to me.. I am thinking of selling a 521T and spending the $ on another CZ with a target type barrel..

I've got a 15-22 that will put 10rds all touching at 50yards with the ammo it likes. Dang reliable too.

If I were in the market for a new one, I'd go for a CZ. They have perty wood...

Model 60 marlin & some decent glass & you will be set. The mod 60 is cheap & not much to look at, but can be very accurate with the right ammo.

I tell my friends looking to spend their money on older quality built .22 rifles. I bought a Winchester model 72 that shot great, sold it to my buddy, then picked up a Win. 69 a with a peep for $200 that shoots lights out. IMHO the oldies are better value.

cz, savage, or maybe the new ruger american.

the cz 455 would allow you to add a lilja barrel in the future . Most people are report groups that are in the .2 ctc range with the lilja barrels @ 50yrds. The factory barrels often shoot .5 or less with the right ammo.

As for the "most accurate factory 22lr" I can think of many. KDF, Anschutz, Sako, NULA, Rem. 40X, ect. , but they are over $400 new and used, but they will shoot way under .5" at 100yds. Even some the CZ's will do that.

"$400 or less" ? You better stick with the Marlin, Savage group. I would love to see some of these shoot CONSISTENTLY under .5 at 100 yards! That would easily beat the current NBRSA average for five-5 shot groups at 100!The records are .622,.6095 and .7415 in custom, light varmint and sporter class.

On the internet, 5 times in a row is just gettin warmed up.

In lever guns, I have a Win 9422 Legacy and a Browning BL-22 that are both very accurate rifles. The 9422 has by far the best trigger of the two.

In a bolt gun, and probably the most accurate 22LR rifle I have ever owned, is a Remington Model 504. It won't establish any new internet accuracy records because the next record is generally just one key board session away from the last stated record, but it puts bullets in pretty much the same place, and it likes all brands of ammo.

For plain fun but not always the most accurate, it's hard to beat a Ruger 10-22 in an un-doctored form. With one of them, soda can minute of angle is all that is needed for a fun afternoon. I bet even The Infamous Grouse could learn to like one if his grand kids were having a good time.

A bad thing trying to find a accurate 22lr in this day is. 22,s are so finicky about what amunition shoots good in that paticular firearm. Finding an assortment of available amunition may be impossable. At least around here.

And, this is only a sample of the 25+ brands/types that I have accumulated over the years...
