This is from Beartooth Bullets.

We've quite a number of customers shooting our 7mm-140g LFNGC bullet in their 7-30 Waters carbines, with good reports of accuracy and velocities attained (I don't own one, so I can't report first hand) also several reports of deer kills using the bullet/cartridge combination using the annealled nose bullets as described in the tip http://www.beartoothbullets.com/tips...ve_tips.htm/21

Thats a neat site.I have not shot or loaded GC bullets before. I take it its just like any other loading. I would like to find a mold and put the gc on myself later. For now Im going to try and get a bunch ordered to shoot.
Thanks

Hunter Gatherer,, I found a Lyman mold for $65. It casts a 135 gr .285.The reveiw I read said the guy was getting actual 142 gr bullets with wheel weight lead.Accuracy was 2.5 at 100 not great but ok for me.Does this sound like a good one.I also founda RCBS mold for a 145gr SIL from Huntington Specialty Dies for $74. The lyman is a two cavity mold. Whats your opinion?
Thanks

My experience with hardcast gascheck bullets is limited but on the aforementioned site there is a wealth of free information not specific to their bullets. What I do know is you can run hardcast (with gaschecks) in excess of 2200 fps with no leading issues.
Before I bought bullet moulds I would buy a hundred just to get a feel for loading and shooting them.

Thanks. Im ordering my sight tomorrow. And some bullets to try. You guys are a wealth of information.I think this 94 was a great find . I know alot of people prefer marlins and I have two and love them but always wanted a Win and this one just jumped out at me.
Thanks
again.
