Mounting ACOG on "Carry handle" AR

My Department recently approved Red Dot or Holographic sights for our AR15 rifles. It says they must "Co-Witness" I have a carry handle rifle. The Department bought ACOGS I believe. Who has an opinion on the best mount for the carry handle that will co-witness?

My rifle is personally owned and I will have to buy the mount I believe. They should supply the sight. Help is appreciated.

What ACOG? I am not aware of a 1X acog, maybe you are thinking of a reflex sight?

Also Co-Witness means being able to see both the sights and red dot at the same time. AFIK. So the Red dot or holographic sight would need to be mounted in between the front and rear sight.

I think you need a flattop rifle to get what you after, but I haven't kept up on all the new tactical gear either. So someone else may be allot more help.
 
Well it would have to mount on a cantilever type mount in front of the carry handle to get down low enough to co-witness. I guess a flat-top with BUIS would be the ticket. Not sure the ACOG model. I am headed to the Property Room tomorrow to find out. I think we can use EoTech also.

Hopefully you can find something that will work. I have seen those cantilever and wouldn't trust my life or possible future earnings to them.
