I put the Nocpix on an old 223AI that's been a workhorse for about 17 years now, and have a bunch of ammo to shoot up. 40 grain Vmax at 3700 fps are not fur friendly on mice!
There should be 4 shorts in this playlist if I did it right.
I have a ruger rimfire precision 22lr, with a can, and the agm spectrum its a mouse hunting fool, its almost dead silent with 22 target ammo as well, making it even more fun. Im 5also guilty of shooting 1 with the 243 1 night...
Years ago I had a .177 RWS air rifle set up with iron sights for my nightly offhand practice in the garage. Back door of shop opened up to a patio between the garage and house. Large roaches often came out of flower beds and ran along house foundation, making for some really interesting targets. Found hitting the concrete slab just short of the roach was extremely effective but not fur friendly.
Lots of farmers used NV (like old camcorder stuff) to kill rats around barns and grain bins. That was before the NV/IR market took over. They'd get quite a few before the rats wised up. Most used 22LR SA rifles with shorts.
Nice. I tried this with rats but they scattered after the 1st shot, I went back a week later with some sub sonic rounds but they didn't get the splatter I was looking for
