I am starting to get the materials together to build my own caller but I am having trouble trying to find the right mp3 player. I need an mp3 player compatible with windows vista and I was trying to find one that has a voice recorder so I can try and add some sounds to it...an info would be appreciated thanks

You can find pretty much any cheap MP3 player should have that sort of ability at WalMart. I have several but here is one that will work and should run under $40: Digital MP3 Player 28meg. MP3 by DVA it is a USB thumb drive player (mp3/wma/recorder)... I would say get any ipod and use your computer to do your recording and then put them on it... better sound quality. I use garage band and then put them in itunes from there. Best of luck PM me if you have some other questions. I am currently working on my third homemade e-caller...

I use a 1GB Creative Labs Zen V. I picked it up on ebay for $39.00 refurbished. I have another Creative Mp3 player as well (for my music). The thing I like about the Zen V is that it has a line-in so you can record from your old tapes or CD's.

I've recently built a wireless e caller.
I bought my mp3 player from buy.com.
If you use google checkout for the first time you receive $10 off your order and most of their items ship for free.
Just make sure you get one without small buttons so it can be operated easily while wearing gloves.
