Looks pretty good for 37 years old. Runs perfectly and is a great way to get around when hunting coyotes.
 
Yep, down here hand guards would be a must in the brush country but don't see much brush in the picture. Neat ride!
 
I have no clue how I got this in the wrong forum. I meant to put it in the predator hunting. So if a mod can move it, that would be great!
Murl, 10 miles might be a bit of an exaggeration! It’s pretty quiet and I don’t ride like a motocross guy. I have eased into a lot of stands and killed a pile of coyotes with it. Damn handy hunting dens also.
 
You don't have to be a fan Murl, what works for one, doesn't for another. I cover some big country and sure can't walk everywhere. And in this country if you want to piss a rancher off, go drive a bunch of his roads with a pickup when its muddy.
 
Amen Cal, motorized transportation is sure nice in my part of the country also and the big hills muffle the sound pretty well. I love the light footprint of my sxs.
 
````````````````````````Cal Taylor, You are not the only one that covers a lot of ranch country, I hunt 3 Texas County's all the same ranch, I use Jeeps that are quiet that I put together just for ranch use I dislike tearing up our ranch roads also, most or our roads are sugar sand. Murl B.
 
Jeeps with big tires are great. I prefer to haul my side by side on a trailer to where I unload to begin trapping or hunting. I may have up to 80 miles of pavement to travel before I get to where I'm working To drive a jeep that far would be miserable. I could haul one, but SXS or murdercycle is far lighter to tow..

Hey, hey, hey now.... I often drive a Jeep 800+ miles in a long weekend. Just need to have a comfy aftermarket seat and a cranking stereo and it's not too bad at all.

I have 3 Jeeps I use here on the ranch depending on what i'm doing Trapping --Guiding Hunters--General ranch work, Big tire 35" 2 1/2" lift 10,000# winch front and 2500# winch basket rear,and running board rock rails made by me very little black top use. Murl B.

2004 LJ 2" lift 33" rubber Front 10000# winch rear 2000# winch and basket running boards rock rails and basket built by me, used mostly for trapping almost 200,000 ranch off road miles never driven on black top.
 
I've been using a Suzuki Van Van 200 for a few years for coyote hunting, not quite as comfortable as a jeep but 60-75 mpg, go anywhere and highway legal are a lot of plusses. Sadly I'm getting a little old to roam the desert alone ànd my wife is no longer able to bail me out when stuff happens.
 
That's one big kittty, Murl. Nice rides. Used my Silverado for several years wired front & rear w/10,000 hitch mounted winch and large boat trailer winch in bed

About 12-13 years ago picked up a TJ built a front hitch and wired for the 10,000# winch, mounted an ATV winch on back.

Jeep a lot better getting into tight places but w/slime in the tires, not too good for hwy, calling for the trailer.

Never used the winch on the jeep except to pull out Suburbans, etc.🤣 but can't say that for the truck.
