muzzle device

Outside of a suppressor, a Kaw Valley Precision Linear Comp is a good option for what you are looking for. It won't make it QUIETER, but it will reduce the noise the shooter hears and push some of that down-range. It'll be much quieter than a muzzle brake. You wouldn't want a linear comp on a 300WM, but on a 308 or smaller used for hunting and similar use it works well. They won't reduce felt recoil like a brake, but that's not what they're designed to do.

Edit: The Levangs work similar to the KVP but they don't have wrench flats and aren't as aesthetically pleasing, IMO.

I have a KAW Valley Comp and love it. It by no means make it quiet but my ears don't ring after I shoot with it on like it did before.

$89.99 in 223 + 24.99 for their Accu-washer timing system.

I just ordered their M41 for a 308 bolt gun. Their DLC coating is the balls.

I looked but I need1/2×28 threads

I bought an adapter for mine....works great....maybe try googling it.

I have used linears they do almost nothing for recoil reduction and nothing for muzzle rise the additional weight on the end of the barrel is the only benefit they offer.

They may do nothing for recoil REDUCTION, but they change the recoil FEEL. Mine resulted in a noticeable difference. The gun feels "softer".

But the main reason I installed it was to direct the noise downrange ... it's much quieter to the shooter than a flash hider.
