My apologies AND my thanks

That's no lie, it really is about that bad. It was a lot of run and gun to get in as many stands as we could. Sunday we were trying to get in more stands before check in. Sunrise and we were calling and a coyote started barking at us. I couldn't figure out why it would be barking. There was no wind, we were running a rodent call tucked in against a brushline. Then we hear this strange noise. It was a kind of rustling noise. It was getting louder so we were scanning the brushline looking for a coyote or something to come out. Then the noise seemed to shift ahead of us and I look up to see a hot air balloon overhead. Some ballooners decided that our stand was a good launch location. Guess that coyote didn't like the hot air balloon any more than we did.

We had balloons launching on one stand, balloons landing on another, we called in a bicyclist, dirt shooters, motorcross riders, it was a circus. But that's what it's like out there. Chaos.

You forgot to mention the yahoo that parked a friggen Winnebego right between all of the flags for our very first stand on Sunday.......I was half tempted to set up shop on his roof!

I could only imagine the conversation between him and his wife....
Maude; "Look Walter, somebody put pretty pink flags in the only spot for 50 miles with a breathtaking view...."
Walter; "Let's park the Winnie up there, Maude!"

I sure can.

Rifle #1 is AzBushman's, PTG-10, 16in fluted, stainless .308 with a collapsible stock, I think that he is still running the Hyperfire 2.5lb trigger in it, with a SilencerCo Omega suppressor.

Rifle #2 is my PTG-10, fluted, stainless 16in .308, running a MOE rifle stock, LF3 trigger, and YHM-30 cal stainless QD suppressor.

Rifle #3 is Justin's PTG-15, 16in Nitrided .223rem with a Surefire Socom .223 suppressor.

We built all 3 rifles on our billet chassis. AzBushman and I spent a lot of time fine tuning the PTG-10's before we started building them. We built them in .308 because of the popularity and availability of the cartridge.

Bushman and I were running Hornady 150gr SP's and Justin was running 55gr Hornady Vmax's and 60gr HP's during the contest.

Bushman is running the Vanguard 62in bipod sticks and I am using the Night Stalker tripod from Night Goggles. Tom Austin and Vic Dicosola are sponsors here on PM and this is a GREAT tripod. I haven't always been a fan of tripods. In the past I found them to be heavy, cumbersome and difficult to set up, so I ran bipod sticks for a long time. But I got to get up close and personal with the Night Stalker at the PM convention this year (another reason to go to the convention) and decided to give them a try. They are EVERYTHING you could want. They are light, quiet, quick and easy to set up. They are unbelievably steady and they move so fluidly. While they might seem to be on the higher end of the price range, you definitely get your money's worth.

Not sure who did the buckles but it now has a special place in my case.

Check in with Callinthecountry who put it on. You just had to register and they contact you to verify who you are.
