My cold barrel challenge...1 shot

That would work, but not a true hunting “simulation” IMO. Unless you are using your shooting bench, bag, chair etc on stand that is.

Your video shows that your rifle is zeroed. While that is critical to success, it is important to take things a bit further. I would encourage any predator hunter to practice under real field conditions and positions. Standing with a tripod, sitting on the ground or hunting stool with sticks or bipod, twisted in less than perfect shooting positions will give a better idea of a true simulation.

Thanks for the video. Good luck in the field. I’ve taken many with the 204 over the years. Hope you pile them up!

I want my cold bore shot above center of aiming point(I would have been aiming center of bullseye). Typically for a 200 yard zero. I shoot 1 shot a week, for a month on same target. Group shape, size and group center should match with load development targets. Than I know, rifle will travel, optics are reliable and the load is stable.

No way that simulates what I need in a coyote rifle. I really need to know where that rifle hits after the second shot. The first two shots kinda get me warmed up and seeing things more desperately as the coyote is in over-drive and getting away. That is when I get serious, shots 3-10. :)
