Old Turtle, you are a wise old turtle. The center of my scope is 2 7/16" up from the center of the bore. It is very comfortable to sight through.
Kirby, I am not for sure positive, but I think a lot of the top grade Burris products are made in the U.S.A.. They have a lifetime guarantee on them and they offer good customer service.

Yeah, that Burris mount is the same as their XTR rings grafted onto a Picatinny rail. You can swap those railed ring tops back and forth with XTR rings.
I've got just the rings on my 10-22.
