My first custom build

I went the 260AI route. This was my first build and I am still waiting on it. Should be done here in next month. I went with lapua brass, redding dies, RL17, 130 VLD, NXS, and looking to add Manners T2 with PT&G.

You have mentioned some great calibers here, and I think you will be happy with any of them if you reload. Just listen to some of the guys on here, they will get you in right direction. And be ready to spend some money....its addicting....VERY ADICTING.

I'm gonna go handle a few rifles that my buddy has built. Think he has a few 6BR, couple 6.5x47, 6x47, and a few others.
Oh does anyone have the mcmillan "game scout" stock? I'm interested if anyone likes it or not.

I have three game scout stocks. I like them but if your going to use a large objective scope you may want to consider a stock pack to help with cheek weld. I think now they can be ordered with an adjustable cheek piece. That was not offered when I ordered mine, but would have gone that route if they were offered. But that's a personal preference.

For pure fun factor the 6br is awesome.Reloading components are readily available.Low recoil, easy to load for and very accurate.

Since October of last year, I've put close to 800 rounds down mine.

I don't have the 6BR but just had a 22 BR built, that as you say, is a pure joy to shoot. Recoil is non-existent. It makes me want a 6BR in the future. I really like this case and its variants. Bobtails has a 20 BR that he loves. Such a fun round to shoot. Wish I had done it sooner

I have 2 GS and love'em ! Both mine are on "hunters" and have 40mm or less scopes. Can't comment on the larger dia Obj, like Buster said....

We have a great guy and sponser here at PM who sells McMillian , feel free to inquire...

No experience with the Sightron SIII, but I've had a SII for about nine years and love it,,It's one of the clearer ones I've had the pleasure of using...Good field of view and very reliable...They also have a 'no bull' warranty if you should ever need it..I have a Leupold VX-3 on my .204 and it's almost as good, just a slightly narrower fov...The Sightron is a 4-16x and the Leupold is a 4.5-14x...I've only owned one Monarch and sold it..

I have two Sightron SIII 8x32x56's sitting on 15lb rifles. No complaints here other than the parallax adjustment is tighter than a frogs azz.

Thanks. I found the Sightron SIII for around $640. I think that's a pretty reasonable price.
I'd like to get my hands on one to look at it. From what I gather, they're pretty sweet.
