just got it broke in and went to the range. i have shot the 17-223 for almost 45 years so was quite familia with what works and what doesn't. after taking into consideration the lower pressure limits of a gas gun (52-54,000 psi) i went to work. here is what i came up with 25 gr vmax and 25 gr hornady hp both shot well. the edge went to the hornady hollow points (now discontinued) which i have a good supply. i have attached a couple pic's of groupls i shot this morning, 85 degreese and a 5-10 mph breeze directly in my face. all groups were shot at 100 meters. the largeas group was 1.05" and the smallest was .50. both loads were chronoed at low 3800 fps as shown on target. it likes h38o and h414.
time to shoot

I love mine! The 15.5 grain NTX from Hornady at 4433fps is wicked on Jackrabbits. I also use the Hornady 25 grain HPs for predator:

Just starting break in on mine. First loads with a 35 gr Vmax and Reloader 10x were not impressive at all.
