When I got home it was waiting for me, hooked it up to my CD player and the RS amp and was surprised how well to worked.I recorded the sounds off of western rivers Web page on to a cd.Can't wait to try it out.Thanks
 
Larry, same here. When I hooked mine up to my preymaster, you can just barely hear the sound coming out of the horn. I went to RS and they said they have never heard of an inline amp. Does anyone know the part number for the RS inline amp?? Or am I doing something wrong with the NADY? I hooked up to the transmitter with my PM. Then hooked the horn up to the receiver. That's right isn't it??

I'm thinking about ripping an amp out of a set of computer speakers if I can't get this thing to work out of the box.

Well, it turns out that I had the horn plugged into the "Output" instead of the "Headphone" jack. I plugged it into the headphone jack and it started working. Tweaked it a little and man! Works like a top!!
 
I guess I don't need anything else for this thing. I thought that I had done enough reading on this whole PreyMaster Wireless thing. I guess it helps when you plug the speaker into the right jack. I have found though that if you put the speaker in a bush where it is off the ground about 2 or so feet, its range is a lot further. Can't wait to try this thing out.
 
Hey you guys I need a favor, I'd like to know what Range you can get with these things in the real world, I'm going to be getting one for my JS preymaster. it's also good to know I can also get a cd player to work too. Any help would be appreciated.

id like to see a pic of the preymaster with the wireless hooked up, and also if anyone knows if i need the auxillary on my preymaster, if so i guess wireless wont work for me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Hey Savage... I notice you use the wire antanna... does it work better then the other one that comes with it (hard with a swivel base)

I use the hard one an your right if you put the recevier up a little off the ground you get more range. A few times I had a cracking problem an that was when it wa in the brush an out of the line of sight.
 
Savage, how do you connnect the nady to the preymaster hand control not wire wise but clip to clip? I haven't recieved mine yet but I was thinking about zip tieing them together. Any help or more pics at your webshots would help

I velcro'd mine player and transmitter together, reason being I can get a real world 100 yards out of my .mp3/Nady set-up but only with the Tx clipped to my pocket, the 4' Nady patch cord not tangled or wrapped around anything metallic, and the soft antenna of the receiver dangling (with the speaker/Rx side up off the ground, suspended from a bush or propped up on a log-- this helps with better sound projection, as well).

I only very occasionally need or want the Rx side this far off, however. But reception can get dodgy if the Rx is set on the ground at shorter distances, it won't hurt reception to stretch out the patch cord. Zip-ties not recommended.

Yep. Went to Wally World and got some velcro with the one sticky side. I took the belt clip off of the preymaster unit and slid the nady transmitter up next to the belt clip molding. I didn't see any hard antenna that came with the nady. I guess I need to look in the box better.
 
One reason a Nady wireless set-up will work better w/o the RS amp is because higher-pitched audio frequencies aren't getting clipped.

If it turns out you need more volume, there are better amps than the RS job in this regard. A Velleman/CanaKit mono 7W is what I use. If you're just using the Nady with a small horn like the Speco SP5, you probably won't need an amp. You may find you need a lot of 9V batteries or spare rechargeables, however.
