Nady 151VR-LT and 351VR-LT Dimensions

Can anyone on the forum please tell me the dimensions of each of these units? I have downloaded all of the specifications, manuals, etc. None of them show the sizes of the units themselves. I need to know before I make my buying decision.

Thanks,

Bill

I don't know the size of the Nady 151, but maybe someone else can help you with that one.

The nady 351 receiver is 2 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" long x 1 1/8" thick including belt clip.
The transmitter is 2 1/2" wide x 4 1/8" long x 1 3/16" thick including belt clip.

2_loners,

Thanks a bunch. One down, and one to go.

I could not believe that I downloaded every piece of literature that NADY has for both products, and none of it includes any dimensions of the equipment. Nor weight either. First time I can ever remember having seen that happen on a piece of electronic equipment.

Many people are using the 151VR-LT units, so I'm confident that someone will give me the feedback.

Thanks again,

Bill

Well, FYI, I had already done that several times. Looked at them so hard that I got blurry eyed. Guess what? There simply isn't any dimentions shown on any single piece of literature they have on the website.

I downloaded each one to my computer, and looked at them all again with the images blown up bigger. Nope, still not there.

If, you have located a page with "Tech Docs" as you state, then please enlighten me as to how to get to it. I don't think I'm getting senile, but I am subject to senior moments. LOL

I really want to know the dimensions of the 151VR-LT, as I have only so much room to spare in the device in which I intend to build my unit. Will most likely go with the 351VR-LT model, but if the 151VR-LT performs equally as well, and costs less, it may be worth considering. They have discontinued making the 151 unit though, however plenty of them are still available at various dealers.

BTW, while I was looking at the NADY website, I noticed a link on the left hand side of the page that I didn't see before. There is a link called "Open Channel Locator Guide", which might also be very helpful to those seeking reasonably clear frequencies in their respective areas.

Thanks for the consideration,

Bill

Aw, come on guys, somebody help me out here. I know that several of you are using the 151VR-LT. How about measuring the darn thing for me?

Thanks,

Well, I stand corrected. I don't recall where I found it originally, but as you said, it's not there. I would have looked myself, for you, but I was at work and in a hurry.

The transmitters are the same size but the reciever is larger. I don't have one here so this is a guess. the reciever is right at 6" long and 1" to 1-1/8" thick and about under 2-3/4" wide. It will not fit into the saddle bags on the energizer flashlight. The bottom 1-1/4 inch is only battery compartment and since I use a common source, I just cut it off and it will fit.

The 351 has better sound quality and range than the 151. Enough better IMHO to justify spending another $50 to get it.
