Great price, provided they have or can get you specific frequency channel you want. Haven't dealt with these guys, but have to say their terms and conditions seem a bit gnarly: $5 handling fee, NO REFUNDS, store credit only. Should you send it back for store credit, in addition to a 20% restocking fee, you eat what it cost them to ship it to you originally (though they shipped it to you "free").

I'd scan potential frequencies ahead of time, then call them to confirm a specific frequency is in stock. If they didn't answer or were anything other than very courteous and professional, I'd pass.

Sorry, didn't see Canadian Hunter312's response before I wrote mine... but his experience would be sufficient fo me to pass.

Amps are not all alike. The RS unit provides less than a one-watt boost and has only middling high frequency response. That said, lots of guys have used them with the Speco and RS horns and gotten okay results.

I wanted an amp that wouldnn't a bottleneck, ie the weakest component in my system (re: frequency response). Of the small amps then available, the Hobbytron 7W it was the only one I found that went to 20KHz; more recently Minaska Outdoors has been offering a separate amp with what appear to be excellent specs.
