If I'm reading that correct, it is saying ALL coyotes that were graded heavy were sold. And the least paid for a heavy graded coyote was $73.16 and the most was $330.00?

I can't be reading that right?

$1500.00 for a bobcat? I'd like to see that hide!

Yes 100 % is what sold - the next number is what the average price was then the $330 is the high price, the first big number is how many pelts were there,
65,201 coyotes and almost all of them were sold.

it is a supply and demand thing, people are not getting as many bobcats as they should so demand is way up.

you can look all this up at north american fur auctions. remember they call a bobcat a lynx cat.

Thanks.

$330.00 paid for a coyote. Amazing!

$73.00 average for heavies ain't to shabby either.

I'll be trying a little harder for cats next year.

Yeah, well good luck getting that for a CO. coyote. The 33 part of it maybe. Maybe.

I got 20 coyotes and 5 cats to go to the sale in a couple of weeks. Maybe I can drive a new pickup home!!! If we're going to dream - might as well make it a real good one.

i had 27 furs on that sale

high coyote was 66.00
high badger was 47.00

high coon was 29.00

totals:

badger: average 23.00
coyote: ave. 22.00
red fox: ave 20.00
coon: ave 18.00

i also had one tiny little bobcat that i threw on a board hoping for 25.00.. i got 70.00 for it

overall i thought i did well at the sale on my furs

i had 3 coyotes that did not sell... they are mid range grade coyotes that hopefully go on the next one

only the top and bottom coyotes sold.. all the middle stuff stayed put

Just got my fur check in the mail for my coon from there.
Averaged just a hair under $18.00 for 31 coon.
Had a damaged one that went into the single digits, my top coon was $42.00.
I'm wondering where the coyotes are shot that are the 'heavy' furs. Meaning which states? I know our Wisc. yotes don't fetch those prices.

Yup, Prices are up.

I was happy with a bobcat left over from last season bringing me $600!!!
Just got the check in the mail from NAFA.

I see guys confused sometimes with the high prices and wondering why they didn't get as much as the OTHER guy did.

You HAVE to take care and prep your furs the RIGHT way and you will get paid more!!!

I think a lot of guys leave money on the table by not prepping the fur correctly... They think only a small amount of money is all they could get.

Pelts are dried and stretched. NAFA and FHA have pickup locations where you can meet an agent and they pick up the furs, tagged and bagged. They then move them on to the auction house. Or you can box them up and ship them yourself. I sell though NAFA and am a member of the Wild Fur Shipper's Council which covers shipping and 9% commission instead of 11% on the fur that sales.
