National Geographic vs. peta

I just finished watching National Geographic. They had one of the heads of peta on.The topic was the normal hug-a-tree stuff. BUT.....Tom Foreman (National GEo) was the interviewer. He took a stand AGAINST peta and their practices and policy. The rep Dan Mattews (F.or A.nimals G.uy)looked like a fool.He kept repeating himself on the same old dribble. Tom Foreman(GEO) looked and sounded annoid with him. And cut him NO slack.
It didn't come up on the broadcast. But I wonder if the peta rep is aware that Tom Foreman(Geo) is a long time died in the wool outdoorsman & HUNTER!!!!!!hehehahahaha

that's pretty cool to hear that come a big well respected organization. Not to knock them but weren' they on the bandwagon for listing prairedogs as endengered a few years back?

Good ol' National Geographic. A lot of people my age got their first bit of sex education from that magazine. It was the only place we could glimpse boobs. To this day I'm a big fan of Nat. Geo., but for more mundane reasons.

PETA is probably well on their way to extinction. They seem to get sillier with each passing day. Like most extremist groups, its members know only one side of an issue, their minds being shut down to opposing views which means that when confronted with intelligent people expressing the opposition views, they cannot rationally respond to them. Generally, groups like this gradually fade into oblivion. Please take Rosie with you. I find her a crashing bore. Best wishes.

Your post is right on. Also you cracked me up over the reference to boob viewing. I'm a young soon to be 58 and yes old National G was my intro to those incredible things!! LOL We must have been reading the same issues back in the 50's! I remember my mom getting a tad upset because of the pictures. LOL ah memories...
