I recectly bouught a red headlanp from gander mountain,it is terrible,it takes 1 double a battery,it has no range to see incoming varmints. Can anyone sugesst a good red headlamp that will get you some nice distance. It don't make sense to be swinging my scope mounted light force back and fourth.Any help om the top of the line red headlamp would be appreciated,i need some good distance.thank you.

I like the optronics headlamp. It uses a 6 volt battery has good light distance and is reasonably priced.

I'll vouch for Doug on the Optonics headlamp. You can see eyes from 200 yards on a dark night, but I don't know if you will find one right now. I wanted to get one for my nephew for christmas and had a heck of a time, everyone was out of them. Check with Bass Pro shops $50. I got mine from rock river arms $38 but they don't carry them anymore.

oiler,

Take a 140/170 Night Hunter pack.......

Get a Hard Hat like they use at a construction site take a 1" wood dowel 3" long and run a 2" screw with a washer from the inside of the Hat to the dowel on the outside and Mount your Scope mount and light on it.........

you get a 400,000 CWP head lamp w/BPS control........ /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

send me the 170 hunter pack and I will make up the rig. And send you lots of pictures... And provide 1 year of endorsements as part of the package. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif And step by step instructions on how to make the rig.

Please send me 170 with the Lightforce logo on the lens and a few logos so I can mount them on the hard hat...

i am building one now. i bought a baseball helmet, light plactic with a bill and chin strap buckles. now we are going to mount the light force to it by way of a 1 inch dowel rod or something close. i like this helmit because it is stable, it has ear covers with holes in them to hear and the way they are made it does not move all over your head. very confortable unit.
