Cousin has a nice Thompson Encore with a 223 barrel on it. He is Going to get a MFM 6.5 Creedmoor 28 inch barrel for it this spring. Any recommendations on a good gunsmith that can do a trigger job on this brand and model of gun ?. I think he looking at 2 3/4 or 3 pound trigger. Just wants it done right. not sure maybe MGM can do triggers too. Your thoughts. Thank. Martyd

The 6.5 Creedmoor is an Encore barrel. It is too high pressure for Contender.

As for Contender triggers, Mike Bellm is the guy.

Belm is good so is David White I've had work done by both David was maybe a bit faster turnaround

Bellm may sell a spring kit. Get the oversize hinge pin while you're at it. Mike will tell you if it is a home job or not. Very helpful guy.

I just looked at the bellm site. The spring kits are 38 bucks with free instructions. Everyone that uses these break actions should read his tips on accuracy, loading, and head spacing.
