Need a new electronic caller

Well my old one finally bite the dust and time to replace. I always had fox pro and was wondering if there something else k should be considering. A buddy’s dad runs lucky duck and loves them. Debating between the shockwave and super revolt 2. Any suggestions

I have both the Shockwave and the LD Super Revolt 2

Between those two the Lucky Duck is much better in many ways. The LD is louder, more clear, comes with a lithium battery pack and spins around. I find it easier to program sounds in over the Foxpro too.

I used the Shockwave for years and years, but it now stays in my truck as a back up.

Same here!

I have the LD Revolution, Revolt and Super Revolt.

I have the FoxPro CS24c, Shockwave, X24 and the X360.

I have the Icotec Outlaw+

I always take my Super Revolt and my FoxPro x24, FoxPro doesn’t come out of the truck.

Just my 20cents

I can't comment on the LD but I do run a Foxpro X24 with a rechargeable lithium battery pack. I charge it before I go out and I will typically hunt till 3 or 4 am in Michigan winters and I've never had it die on me. It's louds, the sounds are clear, and it takes the MFK, Tony Tebbe, and Cal Taylor sound files. The LD might as well but I don't know. I have a lanyard on my X24 that I throw cross body to carry when I have to walk long distances. It makes it super easy to carry when I have a tripod, rifle, remote, and scanner to carry. To be fair I use a vest with pouches I bought here to carry most things. I am very satisfied with the X24 and would recommend it to hunters. You can buy one from MFK that has a bunch of their calls preloaded. Call MFK and they will walk you through what sound files to choose for how you hunt. All this said I'm sure both calls call in coyotes just fine and you will have some measure of success with either one. Best advice is to get out there and call them cause you won't kill them on the couch.

I haven't tried as many calls as some of the people on here. But I can say Foxpro has second to none service. I picked up my Shockwave and have had it for almost 10 years. For some reason it started intermittnently not turning on and I'd fight with it for a few minutes and most of the time resolved itself. One day a few weeks back it didn't. I was prepared to pay for the fix. Low and behold a brand new onw showed up in the mail free. Not sure what the conclusion was.........but it had some additional features my old one doesn't even have. I know who I'll be buying from going forward!

FoxPro was NOt congenial with me. I have a Hellfire and the remote would not turn off after using it, I would have to pull a battery. Called them and was told it would be $40.00 to repair, so I bought a Lucky Duck.

That's rather unfortunate 22magnum22. I had a bad remote for my X24 and was able to send it back to them for a repair free of charge. They replaced the screen and sent it back to me free of charge.

So did you buy a new call yet?

I don't really think that comparing the Shock Wave to the Super Revolt 2 is good comparison. The SR2 is a brand new call where as the Shock Wave has been around for years hasn't it?

Please allow me to chime in——-
I have the following ecallers
Icotec Outlaw+
Shockwave
CS24C
X24 MFK edition
X360
Revolution
Revolt
Super Revolt
Will be receiving a Roughneck 2.0 tomorrow

Calls I currently take into the wide open spaces of Colorado
Super Revolt and X24
Moving forward it will be the Super Revolt and the Roughneck 2.0

I have no dog in the fight, I go with what works the best for me.

I purchased the Roughneck 2.0 because a friend has one and kills plenty of coyotes with it.

I like the lightweight of the Roughneck over the other callers I can put into my backpack for day and night hunting, I don’t need the Super Revolt because I don’t spin the caller at night.

I have not purchased one yet. Price range they are similar, might be an older unit but they want roughly the same price. What would be a fair comparison

Why do you prefer lucky ducks to the fox pro’s? The new x360 minus size looks amazing

Good question!

I like the rotation and the loudness of the Super Revolt.

I got my new Roughneck 2.0 yesterday, went out with TR today and only called in 2 coyotes, they both died!

We didn’t take a picture of TR’s, it had a mouthful of guts.

I am more used to the sounds on the LD callers and the sound assortment is pretty good.

Customer service has been spotless, so has Foxpros.

I tried adding a picture of the one I killed today, says the file is too large?

Did you decide which way you’re going to go on a call? I’ve used LD’s and FP’s for years with great luck on both. I upgraded to the LD Super Revolt 2.0 and I also got the MFK FoxPro X24 this year. Both are fantastic callers and both have advantages over the other. My takes on the advantages/disadvantages of each would be that the X24 sounds seem clearer and it’s smaller than the SV2.0. The SV2.0 I personally like the remote better and it has a farther advertised range of use over its predecessor, though I have yet to test that. I do love that the SV can spin. I don’t use it often but if I hear coyotes in the distance I can adjust the direction of the sound. Never had to test FP for any kind of tech issue or support, but I will say LD is PHENOMENAL in my experiences with them.
