need a very special type of barrel maker...

Are there any barrel makers who will make a rifled barrel for a shotgun? I contacted ER Shaw who is supposed to make rifled barrels and they told me they dont fit any of their barrels on beretta's. So I feel defeated right now, because I have looked and looked, but am yet to come across a definite way of having this done.

Somewhat of a side question, Should a good machinist be able to machine the back end of a 12 ga barrel blank to make the barrel extension that mates to the receiver?

Thanks

When looking for gun parts, it always helps to state the model of the gun for which said parts are being sought.........

Beretta 3901 or Beretta a300.

Your shopping wrong. You need to be shopping for a 390 barrel. The slug barrels were produced predominately by Hastings. They are rather hard to come by. Like I said earlier, I have one. Its blued with iron sights. Shoots extremely well. If your interested id part with it for alot less than what I paid. Its just collecting dust.

I greatly appreciate the offer, but im going for a canitlever base barrel. If i was to buy a barrel right out, i would prefer a beretta barrel over the hastings because of twist rate.

Im guessing no barrel maker can do this for me???

The gb link is for a 391 not 390. If you've had any experience, buy a Hastings barrel. They are a better barrel. If done lots of shopping and research for guys in our group that shoot Beretta. Most 390 barrel made by Beretta are smooth bore. Do yourself a favor n buy an iron sight barrel and drill and tap reciver. Generally. If you run a cant barrel on a Beretta you will need to replace the stock to get cheek weld, or get the piss beat out of your face.

Dammit. My bad.

I typed in 3901 and that came up.

I would buy VMs barrel that he has offered for less, anyway.....
