You should be able to add to your favorites ,if you google how to down load from utube it will give you some links then you then you can make a personal video to watch while you practice calling.most all the new dvd blue ray players will play mpeg4 so you could put them on a dvd or cd and play them like that.

I am a new member as of yesterday. I want to successfully hunt coyote in the Montgomery County, Virginia area. This is a brand new type of hunt for me. My time is pretty much limited to weekends due to work. I have a 243 Ruger American bolt action. Any tips would be very welcomed.

I use a close reed knight & hale cottontale distress call and an open reed Quaker boy howler. I called my first coyote ever in on Sunday using only he Quaker boy howler. In Canada the call is around $25 and you can get it at Walmart or canadian tire. It's real simple to use. I'm still practicing with it and am by no means an expert but I was still able to call in a yote with it.

P.S. I'm still very new to predator hunting and when I was asking pretty much the same question as you. Most people just said to keep going out and try and practice. That's what I did and 4 days into going out I called my first one in.

You can learn a lot about coyote hunting on hunting forums, TV and magazines.

IMO the absolute best way to learn how to hunt coyotes successfully is to learn from the coyote.

Most people worry about educating coyotes but really it's the coyote that will do all the educating and teaching.

Cool callers and nice Weapons really are a very small part of what makes a good coyote hunter. The best coyote hunters are the ones who have learned to deal with failure and most of all learned from their mistakes.

No matter how long you hunt the coyote he will never stop teaching. When you think you have learned it all that IMO would be a good time to move on to something else.

Yote Yoda is correct. The exact sound is about three of four rings down the ladder of importance in taking coyotes. I live out west where the coyotes come on suicide missions when the door squeeks but there are some basics beyond sounds you need to know to even have a chance of calling coyotes. I have some articles on my website that may be of help. Read The Approach, The Set-up and Camouflage, Concealment and Coyotes. There are a few other articles that might be helpful as well. I think there is some really useful info there but that could just be me....

Good luck and welcome to the addiction!
