Need help-how to mount an Eotech on an over and under

Well, I missed my second turkey of the season this weekend. The top barrel of my Browning Cynergy, which has a Rhino choke, shoots 10" high at 40 yards (confirmed by 3 different shooters). I've been aiming at the beards to get head shots, but I forgot this weekend to compensate and aimed where I was supposed to. I shot cleanly over his head.

I've decided to try an Eotech, maybe an XPS 2-0 on my gun. However, I can't find a vent rib mount. I hope somebody makes one.

Any suggestions as to how to mount an Eotech on an over and under?

BTW, I have an improved cylinder on my lower barrel for those 10 yard shots I used to miss. Now I'm missing the long ones I used to make. I can't win.

Thank you. I searched Brownell's, B square and Midway for "vent rib mounts" and didn't find a thing. I ordered the one you found for me.

No problem brotha!

You should post a pic up when you get it set up. I don't think I've ever seem an o/u with optics!

This shotgun would be on its way to gunbroker if it were mine.... It would be worthless to me..

Where is the bottom barrel going to hit when you get the top barrel sighted in with the Eotech?

I'm HOPING that since the bottom barrel is going to be improved cylinder for close in shots, it will be "in the neighborhood" enough to get the job done.

I won't put it on Gunbroker because I wouldn't want to dump my problems on some other poor unsuspecting soul. If the sight won't fix the problem, back to Browning it goes (which I should have done already). Live and learn.

I will have to say it patterns better than any other gun I own. A couple of seasons ago I (inadvertently) killed one at 68 yards with #6 hevishot. Even at that distance, his head looked like it had been stuck in a blender. Of course, I had to aim at his beard...

If I understand this it would seem the problem is simply one of poor fitting to your physical make-up. Have you patterned it and both barrels hit 10" high @ 40 yards? Ever shot skeet or sporting clays with it, do you break birds consistently? Getting the gun to hit to the beads is do-able if you didn't want to fool with all that glass screwed on board. BTW, sometimes it isn't just gun fit issues either like I think you might have in this case. Sometimes it is a gun issue. My son had a new Winchester SX3 that shot 30" high and 18" left @ 40 yards... that is excessive to say the least.

Try using your full choke and see where it is patterning at with your same shells. If they are point of aim then I would check with the choke maker and see if they could exchange it. I had a carlson xtra full choke that was shooting about the same as yours but another 8in to the left. It didn't matter if it was on the top barrel or the bottom. Sent it back and got a new one. The new one shoots dead on at 40yds. Oh and by the way it was a browning citori.

GC-only the top barrel shoots high. The bottom one is dead on from experience and by laser (see below).

unloaded-if the Bsquare mount doesn't fit, I'm going to try those.

Well, I got my Eotech and a 12 gauge laser boresighter yesterday. The mount won't be in until today.

Interesting thing when I slipped that boresighter into the top chamber, not only does it appear to be about 2" high at 20 feet, it is also about 2" to the left. The lower barrel was dead on. No wonder I couldn't hit anything with that top barrel.

Sounds like the barrels need to be regulated to the same point of aim. A couple inches... no big deal. However, when you get into the range you're talking about it is a problem. Essentially, you have a single shot shotgun. I'd send it back to Browning repair and have them take a look at it.

I'm gonna send it back to Browning after the season is over. However, the Eotech has solved the problem for now. It is now dead on at 40 yards. Here's pics:
