Looking at Magpuls prs stock...but dang they are expensive...opinions? best place to get one if i go that route?...any good alternatives?
thanks

I have 2... one on my Mini SASS the other on my Armalite Super SASS, if you need to make fine adjustments to your LOP or elevation, YES they are worth it!!!

If the A2 stock fits you fine then save your money but if you feel you need more LOP then go for it! Love mine and have no plans on getting rid of it.

Just got one. I love it!!! Didn't know if I would??? Pm me and can tell you a few places to get them pretty cheap compared to others!!!! Cheapest I found is only on sale for two more days so hurry!!!!!

I have a couple of them and really like them. IMO joebobs would be the first place I would go to get one. It would be hard to beat the 5% pm discount and free shipping.

Glad I could help ya!! I should of got mine there but didn't!! There is a guy that makes a piece for thr PRS that replaces the sling mount so you can put a swivel on there. Pretty cool!!! Anyone else seen these??

Really nice stock & the adjustments work well. They make your rifle HEAVY though. Only other downside is the lack of vertical adjustment (at target) with the straight back stock off a rabbit ear bag. If your using squeeze bags no problem. For field use they are great unless carrying a long ways.

I hung a PRS on a the opposite end of a 24" shilen barrel, so the stock does not seem heavy enough. But, it's a nice setup for bench/target work, so far. Just not as balanced as I thought it would be. Haven't tried it for prarie dogs/varmints yet.

I thought I'd use more cheekpiece adjustment for the scope than I am.

I don't know if I'd go any other route, matter of fact, I just bought my second PRS (this one from Joebob).

I have one on a Dtech 223 build and I must be the odd one but the plain jane 6 pos. stock on the New Frontier polymer lower on my 6.8 fits be better.

Unless you have an unusual LOP (much shorter then normal), I dont understand how an ajustable stock can't fit, at least, just as good...

Mine on a 20" Dtech fluted 6x45 makes the gun just a tad heavy in the rear. With light Leupold scope the total gun weighs 10.5#. A good platform but a bit heavy for an all day adventure.

i bought one and wouldnt trade it is heavy but the abilty to change it for LOP is great i am in Michigan so one day in a T shirt next day could be in full hunting gear use my gun year round.
