Need some suggestions on powder for 223

I can't find any blc2 powder anywhere so what other powders do you seasoned reloaders suggest? My rifle is a rem model 7 predator with 12 twist, I will be shooting Hornady brass and CCI primers and 50gr Hornady v-max. This is my calling rifle, not real worried about speed just want an accurate round that puts'em down!! Thanks

I like Ramshot TAC and Alliant AR-Comp. My TAC load uses the same V-Max bullet and the AR-Comp load uses Sierra 52grn MKs.

My favorite powder for the 50 grain Vmax as well as the Nosler Ballistic tip of the same weight is Varget. Been my favorite for about 10 years now. But I suspect that will be at least as hard to come by as BLC-2 is and probably more so. I know that I have not seen any on the shelves for quite a spell now am glad that I have a few pounds of it to (hopefully!) last me a while.

For 50g V-Max my best accuracy was obtained with Accurate 2460, but I have several rounds loaded up with Benchmark to try out soon.

So very many powders that work well for .223 Rem. take your pick of any mentioned thus far..
Accurate 2230, and H335 would be good to try, and IIRC, IMR 4895.

About two months ago I seen 1/2 dozen 1 pound containers of CFE at Cabelas...kind of regret not getting some to try but have quite a bit of Benchmark on hand.

W748/H335/H332/tac/exterminator/r10/4198/benchmark/3420/mr2000/varmint pro to name a handful.
All I use for my 50g p-dog load is w748.

My sentiments also!

I'm sold on Win 748. Good results with 40 grain Nosler and 50 grain V Max. Meters like water (no need to weigh/trickle is a definite plus)
