NEW BOLT ACTION .223 Varmint gun NEED OPINIONS AND FACTS

I may buy two. I am thinking a repeater cooper in varmint stainless in 22-250 but need a more walking varmint gun and thinking the savage predator hunter max in .223

You could always get you one of these:

That'd be a Kimber Montana .223 topped with a Leupold Mark AR 3-9x40mm in Talley LW's that weighs approx 6 lbs 4 oz. as it sits.

Of the rifles you are looking at, the Icon is the only one with an accuracy guarantee. The Icon is certified to shoot 1 MOA or less and comes with a test target to prove it. On the test target that is sent with each rifle you will find the date the target was shot, employee ID # who shot target, and the specific ammunition that was used for the test.

If you are looking at gun that you may be carrying all day long, i wouldn't even consider any of those four rifles since they are all heavy barrels. If i were you i would get a standard weight barrel savage if your going to be walking alot. I just picked up a savage 11 in 22-250 yesterday with a standard barrel and detachable mag, and its a pretty sweet gun.

Tikka T3 hunter is very nice but getting a little pricey now. Check out the twist as they can go from 8 and up - depending what gr. bullets you want to use and for what. At the other end - Savage (Stevens) and more recently Marlin might be an interesting look. The action of the Marlin cycles nice/smooth but not sure about that synthetic stock.
