new boot help

I have always worn irish setters i'll never buy anything but irish setters they are comfortable, very durable and last a long time. I have had 3 pairs 1 pair for hunting, work and my old pair.

Danner! After 2 bad experiences with Rocky, I gave up on them. I've been thinking about rubber boots though, either Muck or Irish Setter Rutmaster 2.0

I've been wearing Meindl boots that are sold through Cabelas and they've been great. Beat them for the last two years and they still look new.

Looking into getting a pair of Muck's for early season while it's still muddy or there's 12" of slush on the ground. I move constantly so my only concern is the fit, I like being able to tighten down traditional laces.

I think if you wear them enough they all leak and depending on terrain they all get beat up. I have tried knee high rubber type boots and they have their place for sure, but my feet sweat a lot.

I 2nd the Danners. Mine are warm, water proof and comfortable. I had an old old pair of Browning Kangroo boots for summer wear many years ago but I wore them out.

I wear mucks daily around the farm milking and feeding. For mud and snow and such can't beatm but for hunting and hiking in and out of mountains you need to look elsewhere. They have no support for your ankles. Get what suits your needs but your fighting weather and such much a may work but ifnyournhikingnin and out a lot lace up is your best interest

I finally this pay deer season broke down and bought a pair of kennetrek mtn extremes. They are stiff at first but after breaking them in and keeping them waxed shouldn't need a pair of boots for about 10 years hopefully. That's something to think about. Zamberlan then Cabelas meindl line was my 3nd choice. A good boot costs but it's what it takes form something good.

Best of luck
