i have a cheapo single shot new england 12 gauge. as most of you know it has no sights just a standard bead at the end like most traditional single shots! question is

everything i shoot from this gun hits low on the target! i know im not dropping the gun when i shoot i even steadied the gun with pellows etc! i shoot bucksot at 30 yards, goesg about 7 inches low! i shoot a slug out of her, goes low, very low! same with every shot shell LOW!
its a modified choke, is my barrel warped? the gun was given to me last year! whats wrong with this gun? did too many slugs ruin her?

thanks guys,
lonnie

Sounds like the barrel is tweaked or not sitting true to the action.I'm sure it wasn't the slugs.Too bad it doesn't have a vent rib so you could add sites so you could raise the point of impact up but at least it didn't cost much.

haha
its just a decoration now i guess!

Switch out the barrel Lonnie.

I think a new barrel for those can be had for pretty cheap.

Maybe they have them with the ribs now?

Put a stainless hose clamp and use the turnbuckle as your Rear aiming point (sort of a rear sight) and see if that helps. Not a pretty fix but should be able to get you to hit what you are aiming at. Cheap too.
