New Foxpro X24 - can't connect to computer for programming

I bought a MFX Edition X24 recently. I'm trying to connect it to my computer and the Foxpro programming software to add more sounds to it. The software works with my older Foxpro, but the X24 won't connect to the computer. It has a USB-C port on the back/top side, rather than a printer cable connection inside the battery compartment. My computer and the software won't recognize the X24 when connected to this USB port, whether I have the X24 power switch off or on.

And ideas? Maybe just a dead USB port on the X24?

Not sure really. I googled it and AI says...

If your FOXPRO X24 won't connect to a computer, it is likely due to using a charging-only USB-C cable rather than a data transfer cable, or a need for software updates. Ensure the unit is powered on, use a high-quality data USB-C cable, and try plugging it directly into the computer.

Good luck. If all else fails, call Foxpro. They have great customer service in my experience.

My x24 has a printer cable style plug in inside the battery compartment but does take a few seconds to get it plugged in with its location being underneath the top side, didn't know the newer models switched usb plug styles

My X2s is like yours. It is a bit of a pain in the ass th get the cable plugged in. I’ve thought about seeing if there’s a 90 degree terminal end to make it a little easier but I don’t add sounds often enough to worry about it.

I also was not aware of the USB C port change, but I can certainly see why they made the change. Hope it doesn’t create a problem across the board with issues like the OP is having. Wouldn’t be the first time an “improvement” made things worse.

Hopefully you figured this out by now but I literally just went through this myself. I have a brand new X24 with the USB C in it. I tried connecting it USB-C to USB-C in my computer and was not connecting. Googled and did not find any solutions. YouTube yielded the same. So I tried the USB-C from the Call and a USB 2.0 into the computer and viola!!! Success!!
