new on here weres all the ohio guys

we got two buckets to bring to if we need to still bring them, hey 22-250 whats the range rules and are you going to be range master i think it would be a good idea with so many guys coming, maybe make a list of range rules to post here. you know safety first and fun shootin after that; just my thoughts guys.

ok here goes the range rules
1. bolts or actions open at all times unless the firearms are on the bench with a shooter behind it
2. firearms pointed in a safe direction at all times as i dont have any gun stands firearms shall be pointed away from firing line and all people at all times... most of the time my guns are on bipods pointed into the surrounding woods.
3. no person shall go down range until the firing line is clear and announced clear by all shooters
4. no ammo shall be placed into a firearm unless on firing line ready to fire.
5. AR shooters no mags in the well away from firing line
6.no alcohol allowed period
7. ear and eye protection are highly suggested...bring your own as i shoot with molded plugs
8. all firearms on the firing line will have open bolts or actions when the line is cleared for going down range

we are responsible for each others safety as well as our own
please respect these rules and the keep the shooting area clean..makes it easier for me to clean up after

range boundaries will be shown to everyone on the shoot day and these boundaries WILL be respected for the safety of the public

not to sound like a jerk but if you dont follow the rules i will be asking you to leave the property

last but not least everyone please feel welcome and lets have a good time

THANKS tim just a thought i had, hey rletts you bringing your 4wheeler to help with targets and stuff. oh the foxpro is crow ready ill bring it in case we see some around. yahooooooooooo!!!!!lol
 
oh yeah i forgot i will have a ranger on the range to set and check targets

folks we have nearly 500 yards available to shoot

we will be shooting a round or two of "rifle golf"
also i will be shooting 300 yard 22lr
maybe doing an egg shoot range to be announced the day of if i get a stand built.

if anyone has target boards or stands they can bring please feel free to do so. i will have stands at 50 100 and 300 200 is difficult to get due to a slight rise in the shooting lane i will also have two gongs at 400 and tim is bringing two more

i ask that everyone be at my home at 8am in order to follow me to the range due to the fact once we enter the property i will be locking the gate behind us to keep folks off the range as you have to enter the shooting area to get onto the property
 
your comment on gun stand, i think i know where one is. i could maybe get it and you can have it 22-250 the farm i work at has one in a old barn, some guys that worked there years ago shoot trap there and built one, ill find out monday if we can have it and ill set up a time during the week me or rletts could get it there to ya, ill let ya know

one more thing that i will ask..... please pick up all centerfire brass. if you dont reload i will have a box to throw your empty brass in if you dont want it. and also if you are shooting "match" grade 22lr rounds i would like to save the brass. there is a member here that has asked me for some match brass because they are swaging bullets.

oh dusty has helped and there is this other fella i talked to on the phone the other evening that gave me a few ideas. some guy from up north lol i had that stock left over from a shipment that i used to make up some pens
 
Well, you're wringing it out! Nice.

I'm in Indiana for the weekend and can't wait to get back to O-hio to get the scope on the black gun. I've got to start working on a name for it.

I've already got guns named 'Dr. Death', 'Old Painless', 'Stinky', 'Baby' (when Baby cries, the results are usally fatal), 'Stinger', etc, etc.

Any of ya'll named your rifles? Or am I the only sick one here?
