new on here weres all the ohio guys

Out last night,at the farm....my electronic caller took a dump..left the hand calls in the truck(why would i need em right?)...walked back and got em,,set up in a new location.

With all that moving around,,dunno why no coyotes came out to play.

X

X, that sounds like something I would do...lol

I would like to get out again soon. Bow season starts sat so I will have to balance the 2.

I also found a BR school to go to. Two days for 250 at Kelbys. Not sure but I may try and go to it. See what I can learn.

Dusty, you may have to teach me how to do some straight woods shotgunning yote hunting. The fields arent working and the den location is in the WOODS...lol. No AR's in there.

Let's go Rob!

I use my butt ugly ancient Mossberg, tight turkey choke, and #4 lead buck, most of the time up here in Summit. Killer rig for the woods.

I've found the trick for the woods is to limit things to two guys, sit close together, and watch all around the compass. The woods can play helll with swirly scent, but it can definitely be done.

Rudy

Rudy...I bought the rem 870 pred/turkey shotgun a while back. Patterned it with heavy shot and it went into the safe. Been there ever since. I do believe it needs to go out and kill somthing, lol.

Hey Dusty, I was looking around fclass stuff lastnight. A feller had really good scores (won alot) with a bone stock AR. I believe it was the F/TR class. The Fclass open has all the 8 million dollar rigs in it, lol. Some of those guns are crazy.

Bobby, I have shot most of my yotes with the shotgun. Even in the fields. Rudy is spot on with the woods tip. For me, scent control is a big deal for hunting the woods. Winds swirl to much to try to set up for the wind.
That BR class would be cool. if nothing else I may just builf a heavy barreled upper for the AR to shoot with you guys at the distance stuff. I am still trying to figure out the 10/22 stuff

I haven't been out yet either. I am really wanting too. I did not go out once last year. I trapped more than anything last season.

Things have been good Dusty. Having a baby last year at this time really put a damper on all of my hunting activities. Tanner and I hope to get out a lot this year.

I got a tip the yotes are moving around here in the dang afternoon...those sons of guns. Makes me want to shoot them more. lol.

Mr. Bob,

Yep, Kelby's is about 20 min southwest of Akron. Haven't been there for years, but it was a hot range from what I can remember. Never heard a negative word from anybody about it.

When you plan on coming up?

Well, I have 2 long range rigs I need to try out and see which one shoots best so I can sink more money in it,lol. Also, they are having a 2 day benchrest class that I thought about going to.

Dustin I'd say they prob be taking beans off out round house fairly soon looks like they are drying up pretty good leaves mostly gone on them too and few the cornfields already have the edges cut in some of the fields so shouldn't be long. Went down in the bottoms snooping around didnt see much sign anywhere but fields still full too. Gave X a yell told him needed too give me some lessons but we ain't got together on it yet..you still at KW? still looking up out there?

Alot of my farmland is in beans his year. And they are all still green. It is just too hard to see anything.
Hey Haystack, who are you bro? Great to see more locals on here. WELCOME to PM!!!!
