New Predator Strikeforce Slayer! (pics)

I sold my Mossberg 535 Tactical Turkey last month to make room for a new, less punishing shotgun. (I literally chipped a tooth...)

After a ton of debate and research, I saved up enough money to buy my dream gun. "The Strikeforce Slayer" It's a Benelli M4 with collapsible three position stock, Surefire tactical forend, full length 7+1 mag tube, Tacstar 6 round side saddle with a 18.5" barrel sporting an improved cylinder choke. I also got the factory forend, factory pistol grip stock, and the factory mag tube with a Tacstar +2 extension. In addition I have two Kicks extended, ported chokes for it in a .670 Gobblin Thunder, and a .680 Howler.

I'm really excited to get out and do some pattern testing with the chokes and a few different 3" loads including Winchester Supreme #4 buck, Dead Coyote #4 buck and T shot.

Hopefully, the only punishing from the new Benelli will be directed at the Predators.

i have the same shotgun, and have been useing it for a couple of years, when you get the choke & ammo that works in your gun,you will love it. these guns are fast well balanced, and deadly out to aroound fifty yards, i dont know how many coyotes and bobcats i have killed with mine but it [beeep] sure works great.good luck to you with your new shotgun. rio7

As is #4 buck shot or did you mean #4 bird shot? Do you know what the constriction diameter is on the Benelli full?

Like I stated before, I did a lot of research looking at what others have tried in their M4's which lead me to the .670 and .680 constrictions for testing. My goal is to find a combo that allows me to stretch the distance to 60 yards with consistency. That may be unrealistic for a 18.5" barrel but a guys gotta have goals right?

As others have stated here (i.e. Byron South and G.C.) 5 pellets in an 8" circle is the minumum acceptable amount to consistantly kill coyotes. I just hope to achieve that at 60 yards.

form my experince 60 yards is a far for your shotgun, you might make it work, but i dont know how. ive had to double tap a few coyotes out that far after shooting them closer and and it didnt work real wonderful, dont know what the decimal, on my choke is,i had a drawer full of chokes for my benellis as i have several, and thought it would be a good place to start testing ,as it turned out the full choke gave me good patterns and thats what ive stuck with, let me know what works for you, and i will give it a try, i didnt invent the wheel, and am always looking for a way to improve. good luck rio7
