I need some good load info for 155 grain bullets,i want to shoot fast and flat with it . This one has the heavy 26" barrel so it should make good velocity.

Not 155, but 165 Hornady SST.
56.0gr charge of IMR4350
165gr. SST
CCI Benchrest primer
Chrono speed out of a 24 inch barrel, 2710fps
5-shot groups under 1"
Not the fastest, but the most accurate, and I will take accurate over speed anyday. Good Luck!!!!

I had some extra 175 grain bullets so i loaded them up with IMR 4064 to break in the barrel a little today. Scope is a leupold 6-18x40.
I have some 155's loaded up for my next range trip ,hopefully the groups will shrink and i can hit 3,000 fps

I think you are asking for a whole lot, wanting 3K out of an '06 with anything 150 grains or better. I hope I am wrong and you find what you are looking for, but in my experience, anything over about 2850 is gravy, and pretty darned rare.

I think 3000 FPS is obtainable, at least speed wise. I am not going to say you will for sure see the accuracy you want at those speeds. I also don't see a need to push them that fast, really. Just go for accuracy and then dope for the speed you have with accuracy.

I have that same set up in 300 win mag for the out west Deer and elk trips. Love that rifle and it is one of the most accurate guns out of the box i have ever bought.

Try Jack O conners favorite load in the 06 and a 165gr bullet . Probably over in todays books but I have shot it thru 4 different 06s over the last 40 years, no preasure issues with any of them but work up to it , simple as this WW case , 52grs of 4064 and you should see something like 2925 fps avg unless something is quite difffent with your gun out of a 24" barrel. I shot dozens of Caribou,Sheep and Goats with this over the years as well as plenty of Whitetail Bucks all starting in the late 70's with the old Nosler Solid base and later with their Ballistic Tip 165gr bullets.
About 5 years ago a friend turned me onto the Hornady SST bullets so I tried them , have never had so many instantaneous kills with the 06, high shoulder on 250lb field dressed Northern Bucks is lights out right now, folds em right up and they are often laying in the 4 tracks they were standing in.................. good luck

I've been using mine as my "lightweight bullet '06" primarily with the 125 TNT's. I did have good luck with the 168's during break-in though.

Has anyone else had issues with heavily fouling barrels? Seems I can't get more than 15 shots before my groups go to heck.

Heavy powder fouling means wrong powder. If copper fouling is the problem, several passes with jb bore cleaner should help.

With 165 grain and heavier bullets IMR-4350 will usually work best.

With 150 grain and lighter one of the 4895's has been a proven winner for years.

With 125 grain I would give Varget a try.
