New rifle stock

Since NY states predator season ended in April I finally found the time to fit my 20-250 Savage Impulse barrelled action into the Boyd's Pro Varmint stock that's been collecting dust.
The Preferred CF bull barrel needed to be free floated otherwise it fit like a glove.
I was thinking a matte brown/grey tiger stripe or sponge pattern but am open to suggestions.
This is for nighttime use in the north east.
Fire away.

Dedicated night time use i dont see one pattern functioning better or worse than the other. Search google images for both, pick which one you like best and colors you want, and let it rip! Then post pics of course!

How much better could it be? Night hunting-black stock. But I like some color on a rifle stock myself. I use the sponge technique on several of mine. Its easy and fast and easy to fix if you scratch it up. I usually give them 2-3 coats of matte clear. Kills the shine and protects the paint really well.

I was looking at a Weatherby 307 in a shop today. It had a really cool paint job from the Weatherby shop. Kinda looked like it was done with a paint brush. I'm going to practice first on some old stocks I have laying around before I try it on my H-S Precision.

You got the bolt on the wrong side
In under a minute it can be swapped for evil right handed shooters to use.
I did a search here and found some interesting patterns so I bought some matte gray, green, brown paint and will try to do some testing over the rainy weekend.
Going to scuff the black finish on the stock to make it matte and use it as the base layer instead of painting over it.

Grab one of your kids nerf guns and practice too! Get you used to making sure you get the nooks and crannies without it running. I think this ended up a little to busy with the 5 colors i used, but i learned from it and my kid loved it!
