What is it about the Larue's that make them so much better than the other mounts? I've never owned one before and haven't been around them.

That is a nice lookin' rig right there.

I didn't like paying the $200 for my Larue at first. But in retrospect, it was money well spent, no doubt.

Heck, I even got a hat, some pork rub, a bumpersticker, and that cool little armadillo bottle opener that I use everyday......

For me, it was the bottle opener. I'd pay another $200 for one.........

The quality of them are as good as anything that you can buy. I like being able to take the scope off of the rifle when I clean it and put it back on with no point of impact shift.

I almost forgot the cool bottle opener and dillo dust!

Here is a variation on the Larue SPR-104. It has the LT-137 side mount for a Burris FastFire, Doctor, etc. Mini Reflex.

I've never seen a better mount for a AR flat top. When you have $2K invested in an AR-15, $200 for the scope mount doesn't seem as significant. If I get another upper, it will have a Larue.

Quote:Is there any other mount coming with a picatiny rail on the ring tops as the PEPR? That is a very neat feature to have in order to easily accommodate a Burris reflex sight.

The Primary Arms deluxe mount I just got had an option to buy the railed tops for $4.00 a piece. I got one for my mount.

Mr.Steel... If ya need more Dillo Dust, let me know. I'm the only one in the house that likes it and I have a few extra bottles. Oh yeah... Another LaRue fan here as well with (4). Buy once, cry once.

i just got the Nikon M-223 mount with 20MOA rise. I am yet to mount it as my scope is still at Leupold getting work done on it. cant wait to try it out

Here is another Picatinney rail mount option to consider. The Red dot is set at an angle and mounts to the scope tube. I use one of these on a 700 Remington for close up shots, rather than the 6-24X50 main optic. It's pretty handy once you get the hang of it.
