New Smoker!

 That Fosters comes in a big ole can. I can hear that chicken screaming.

I have not tried the chicken yet but I still want to, this Saturday, I will do pork ribs and the famous Pittsburg (TX) hot links on a hickory fire.

I think I have hit the Jackpot with ribs and links, the links are easy, the ribs require a secret rub and a secret BBQ sauce. I have not attemted the brisket as of yet.

If I can improve on the ribs, I would like them to be a little bit more tender. They are Spare ribs and I'm slow cooking with Hickory.
How do I get them more tenderish?

Iron Pony, Try this. season the ribs to your taste and put them in a pan. Cover the ribs with BBQ sauce then cover the pan with foil leaving a small hole in the top for smoke to get into the meat, smoke for 2 1/2 to 3 hrs at 250 and I promise you the ribs will fall off the bone.. Let me know.

Try a very slow boil for about 20 minutes on top of the stove before ya smoke them. I like to season the water real good with TexJoy crab boil. I know it may sound strange, but its dam good, the meat just about falls off the bone. Try it on chicken, before ya BarBQ, you like it.
