I have been looking a lot and need some good honest input. I am new to preadator hunting and need a light or lights. What is good that wont break the bank. Do I need a scan light and kill light or can I use one light for both. Thanks for any input just tryimg to pull the trigger and get out there.

I second the night eyes lights they are just plain awesome and customer service is #1 with joe so do yourself a favor and at least check them out you won't be sorry.

Rugerboy,

Please feel free to check out the large selection of hunting lights that I offer on my webstore..

Also to answer your question I prefer to run a separate scanning light and a separate shooting light.

Though if you are shotgunning you could get away with a headlamp only and if your hunting with a partner it is easier to use only one light..

Please feel free to contact me in any way and I'll help you get set up within your budget..

I have lights from both of these guys and I prefer the Nighteyes, surprising performance from Such a light weight package!

I've tried ALOT of lights over the years. I highly recommend the Night Eyes Headlamp for scanning and the Night Eyes gun mounted light for shooting. I have also purchased a XLR250 from Boondock and have had good luck with it. Boondock no longer sells the EWT lights however and has replaced them with another brand.
Both of these gentlemen are very reputable and provide very good service.
Can I ask what type of hunting you will be doing (rifle/shotgun and what predators are you targeting)?

I am just getting started I plan to hunt with a 243 rifle but I have the option to use a 3 1/2" shotgun and I also own an over under 12ga. Over 223. I will focus on coyote and fox. I am looking to buy a foxpro wildfire 2 for my call but I will take any advice in that catogory too. I am sure these topics have been beat to death so thanks again for hitting on them again with me.

My vote goes to night eyes lights. Had a wicked light till my buddy bought one of joes night eyes light needless to say I have a wicked light for sale. His headlamp and gun light are a awesome combination you wont regret the purchase if you go with the night eyes lights.

I've got both the night eyes. Like em too.

Boondocks is right on (of course), "both of them" if your using a rifle. If you only have a gun light your swinging and pointing just to scan. Headlamp itself is fine for shotgun. It will illuminate a bead and barrel very nicely.

Thanks guys for sharing your opinion about our lights.

We will be at the Harrisburg show from Feb 1st till Feb 8th booth #3907. If you happen to be at the show stop by and say hi.
