New to forum & preditor hunting

This looks like a great forum. I enjoyed the post so much I had to join in the fun. I've been a hunter all my life but never chased preditors. Some buddies gave me a Remington 700 SPS Varmint in .204 so now i"m all fired up about preditors and varmints.

I've been working on a custom camo job for my new rifle. I"ll post some pics when it's ready.

You've got some great buddies, if they gave you a great gun like that. It'll do the trick.

Read around and ask plenty of questions. This is the place to learn.

It was a wedding gift. We have a tradition of getting our buddies something a guy would want when he gets married rather than the typical oven mits or bed linens. You gotta love tradition!

1) It's better to ask forgiveness than permission.

2) "Look at the new rifle I bought for you, Honey.." only works a couple of times.....Choose you times carefully.

Thats a great gift, but I don't think that it will get much use the first year or so. Then she will start saying stuff like can't you go huntin or something just to get you out of the house. Best of luck to you and your wife. God be with her. and welcome.

Heck yeah! A few of my buddies were the same way (except I got power tools). You'll be hunting all the time. That's a great gun for predator hunting...heck varmints too!
