New to reloading 243 win

Good job very nice I am just getting into yote hunting lots of work ahead to get calling down I refuse to use electronic calls I'd rather put in the time and effect so I know I can do it on my own and have a good sense of pride about each kill

Well, you found the right place here at PM`s to learn much about reloading and predator calling.
I don`t do near the hunting that I could..kind of got more into rifles and reloading; seeing what kind of accuracy I can get (or the heartache from one that just don`t perform..lol).
Easy for me to step outside and shoot to 300 yards or more if I wanted so that is a plus.
Also, wanted to build a couple of rifles and upper #2 is complete with the lower and other parts expected tomorrow.

FWIW- that powder measure tool you posted is different from what I thought you were talking about.
You going to be using a progressive press then?

I`m sorry, made a error from something posted in another thread. (In regards to measure)

You know I have to share something that was posted by one of the moderators here quite some time ago. I found it hard to believe but on the same token also believe he has much experience, so no reason to doubt him.
I can not give a exact quote, but it was something on the order that `thrown charges have shown to be more consistent(accurate?)`.
Since that time I have made several loads just using my powder throw and since it does seem to weigh (or repeat) very well with certain powders, I do this often now with good results.

Before seating any bullets, I always inspect all cases to check for any obvious differences.

AND..for Mr. Roberts, if I have messed up this info or gave bum advice my apology, and please set me right.
also, thanks for your contributions here.

See this will be my first time ever reloading I mean everyone has to start somewhere right I figured it's time to start since I can't find any 243 ammo anywhere around me within 100 miles literally. I'm young (22) but I want to be more self reliant in everything I can do. Why wait on the government to release factory ammo if I can make my own. And being in an artillery unit makes me want to play with rounds although the 243 is just a tad different than our 155mm M777 howitzer

Nothing at all wrong with weighing every load and I think maybe a good idea for the beginner.
I started out reloading by first reading all the steps in the Lyman 49th Reloading Handbook.
After reading through this, I enlisted the help of a friend who had already been reloading for many years. He helped me load my first 50 rnds on his equipment using all my own components.
I suggest all newcomers to reloading to go to the thread at the top of the page titled, Help Reloaders. Many good safety practices and more in that thread.
You can also find helpful videos on youtube.

No, never tried that powder and do not think you will find load data for either of those two bullet choices.

In the second post, ninehorses posted a link that will be helpful to you; check it out.

I highly recommend you try and find some IMR 4064 or H4350.
Actually, different powder manufacturers sometimes offer numbers that are the same and should work similar HOWEVER loads will be slightly different, meaning do not assume load data for H4350 will be the same as Accurate 4350.

Ok cool I need to further my research all the input is awesome I'd love to get 4064 I just can't find it anywhere by me unfortunately. I also heard reloader 19 is really good too

Reloader 19 ? Too slow me thinks..Reloader 15 maybe!
Hodgdon Superformance can work good in .243 with a limited range of bullet weights, and that might be easier to find. Should work with those 80g
You might just have to wait it out until a suitable powder can be found.

Hi I made up 58gr vmax with h380 and a batch with win760 I went start and mid range loads according to hornady I did the same with the 80gr gmx I'm gonna shoot them tomorrow and see how they do I only made up 3 of each to see how they group also have an extra for a foul shot hope it goes ok stayed away from max loads do to it being first time and go off of what I have

Does anyone use this combo?

I was. Then I was proud of myself! I had no help except the guys on here and books. Once those pills come out the barrel and everything is fine it's a confidence builder. Then it becomes a puzzle and I dig puzzle's!

In a std. 243 the best load - most accurate/fastest - shooting the 60 Sierra HP was at 3800 with W760 powder. The gun was a stock Rem. Varminter.

I'm trying to avoid hazmat as much as possible I have shot the loads from last night fairly disappointed the only decent group was 2.5" with 58 vmax over 48gr of 760 with WLR primers. I'm gonna see if bumping up a grain will help only problem is it's a max load and although I have no pressure signs it's nerve racking for me to go to a max load
