Get the Beretta 391a. As stated before, keep it clean. Particularly the forearm cap. It will handle most of the recoil issues. For singles, you can get a shell catcher that will capture the shell in the ejection port (no pissed off shooters to your right). It is difficult to get a shell catcher for the Benelli and you have to make a small modification to the bolt handle.
When you get a few more bucks together, you can get a "Soft-Touch" stock. That will take felt recoil down to about zero. I put the Soft-Touch on my Beretta Technys and it is a joy to shoot. I have let a few others shoot the gun with the Soft-Touch and they were off to get one on their trap gun.
If you are a dedicated Benelli shooter, I think Shooter's Emporium is now making Soft-Touch for Super 90 and other models. The Benelli is a lot easier to clean than the Beretta.
Best shooter at my club has the Beretta 391 with a Soft-Touch and release trigger. Don't see him miss many birds.
