the best luck I had with bb's was in a Ithaca 10ga auto. Federal 2 1/4 oz of BB offered a pattern density that would allow skull hits, hits through the eye sockets, and spine hits. I hunted with "Moose Dick" for 6 years, 32" full choke. Patterns were impressive at 60 yards with both bb and #4 Buck.
I had two, and this was the most borrowed gun I have ever owned.
Guys that had trouble hitting moving coyotes with a rifle loved this shotgun. Shells got real hard to find after the lead ban on ducks and geese, so I sold them both.
